Domestic Resources Are Gained Into The Economy
While the total oil production in fields across Türkiye was 4 million barrels in July, natural gas production was a total of 288 million cubic meters in the same period.
Stating that they act with the goal of 'Fully Independent Türkiye in Energy', Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated that they will accelerate the work both at home and abroad, and said, "Thanks to our domestic and foreign operations, we meet 15 percent of our country's oil needs and 16 percent of the natural gas needs ourselves."
4 Million Barrels Of Oil Production
The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources continues domestic production in both oil and natural gas without slowing down. In this context, the total oil production in the fields across Türkiye in July was 4 million barrels.
288 Million Cubic Meters of Natural Gas
In the same period, the monthly natural gas production was a total of 288 million cubic meters, while the total monthly oil and natural gas production was 5.7 million barrels when viewed as oil equivalent.
We Will Take Production Much Higher
Making statements on the subject, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar emphasized that they work without saying 'day and night' to bring domestic resources to the economy. Bayraktar said, "We will carry our current domestic oil and natural gas oil production, especially Gabar and Sakarya Gas Field, much higher."
Production Abroad
Stating that the production of oil and natural gas abroad has also reached a significant dimension, Minister Bayraktar announced that 339 million cubic meters of natural gas and 1.1 million barrels of oil are produced abroad.
15 Percent of Oil Demand, 16 Percent of Gas Demand
Bayraktar said, "Thanks to our domestic and international operations, we meet 15 percent of our country's oil needs and 16 percent of the natural gas needs ourselves."
We Will Become A Self-Sufficient Country
Stating that they act with the goal of 'Fully Independent Türkiye in Energy', Minister Bayraktar said, "Under the leadership of our President, we will accelerate our work both domestically and abroad in line with this goal, and hopefully we will become a self-sufficient country in this field."
