Support to Solar and Wind Projects from TENMAK

The Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency (TENMAK) issued two calls to support technological projects in solar and wind. The calls, each with a budget of 150 million liras, were opened for applications at "tendes.tenmak.gov.tr". Applications will continue until the end of January 15, 2026.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, in his evaluation of the project calls on his social media account, said, “We aim to develop high value-added energy technologies in our country by supporting public-university-industry cooperation. This program will make a strong contribution to our vision of increasing our renewable installed power to 120 thousand MW by 2035.” said.

Two New Calls

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has taken a new step for the development of solar and wind technologies. TENMAK, the relevant organization of the Ministry, has published two new project calls, one "Solar Energy Systems (GES) Technologies" and the other "Wind Energy Systems (RES) Technologies", within the framework of the Technology and Product Development Projects (TUGEP) Support Program.

High Efficiency Cell

Within the scope of the Solar Energy Systems Technologies call, it is aimed to develop the domestic value chain and manufacturing processes of GES, the development of high efficiency PV solar cells and high temperature solar thermal heat technologies, and the development of GES technology applications.

Advanced Turbine Technologies

Within the scope of the Wind Energy Systems Technologies call, it is aimed to determine the potential for RES, to develop technologies related to wind turbine and power systems technologies with the efficient use of RES.

From Prototype to Test Phase

The calls aim to reach the stage of the projects with at least THS 4, that is, the final drawings and functional tests of the projects whose components and prototypes in the laboratory environment are presented, that is, the THS 8 level.

At Least One Industry Partner

At least one public institution and organization or university will take part in the organization of GES and RES calls, which are in the partner project structure, as the 'Project Manager Organization'. Technology and product development projects to be carried out by the project executive organizations will be supported by TENMAK and at least one industry partner who commits to implement the project results in Türkiye.

150 Million Lira

The total budget of each call was determined as 150 million liras. While there is no upper budget limit for applications, at least 10 percent of the total project budget of each project supported by TENMAK will be covered separately by the industrial partner in cash.

Application Process

Project calls have been opened for applications at "tendes.tenmak.gov.tr". Applications will continue until the end of January 15, 2026.

High Value Added Technology

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, in his evaluation of the project calls on his social media account, said, “GES and RES Technologies 2025 calls have been opened by TENMAK in order to strengthen domestic production in wind and solar technologies and increase our global competitiveness in renewable energy. We aim to develop high value-added energy technologies in our country by supporting public-university-industry cooperation. This program will make a strong contribution to our vision of increasing our renewable installed power to 120 thousand MW by 2035.” said. Minister Bayraktar pointed out that the total amount of support is 300 million liras and the application deadline is January 15, 2026.

What is TUGEP?

TUGEP Support Program supports projects related to energy, mining, ionizing radiation, particle accelerators, nuclear, boron and rare earth elements. It aims to transform the research and development results to be carried out in the fields of science and technology into useful tools, equipment, materials, services, products, methods, processes, systems and production techniques, to improve the existing ones and to spread their use. In this context, TUGEP supports product or technology development projects that include all kinds of research, development, innovation, design, technology acquisition, testing and localization activities.
