Energy Ministers of the Turkic World to Meet in Istanbul

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources will host the Fifth Meeting of Energy Ministers of the Turkic Council (TDT) in Istanbul on December 9-10. Minister Alparslan Bayraktar will hold bilateral meetings with guest ministers to discuss current and potential cooperation opportunities.

Türkiye is preparing to host an important meeting in the field of energy. The Fifth Meeting of the Energy Ministers of the TDT will be held in Istanbul on December 9-10, 2025, hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

 

8 Countries Together

The meeting hosted by Türkiye will be attended by the TDT Secretariat, TDT members Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and TDT Observer Members Hungary, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

 

Ministers' Meeting

The two-day talks will include a technical-level Energy Working Group Meeting on December 9 and a Ministers' Meeting on December 10, hosted by Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar.

 

Enerjinin Tüm Alanları Gündemde 

The meeting will feature discussions and assessments on all areas of energy, ranging from renewable energy sources to oil and natural gas, from the peaceful use of nuclear energy to energy technologies related to smart grids, energy storage, hydrogen, and carbon capture, and from critical minerals to rare earth elements. Steps to be taken to develop energy cooperation under the umbrella of the Turkic States will be negotiated.

 

Bilateral Meetings

In addition, Minister Bayraktar will hold bilateral meetings with the visiting ministers as the host. Current and potential collaborations will be evaluated during the bilateral meetings.
