Contracts of YEKA GES-2025 Competitions, Signed

Within the scope of YEKA GES-2025 competitions organized by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, contracts were signed for projects with a total capacity of 650 megawatts in 8 different areas. As a result of the competitions, a contribution of approximately 102 million Euros was made.

The contracts of the YEKA GES-2025 competitions held on November 25, 2025 were signed at the Ministry today by the General Manager of Energy Affairs Ahmet Özkaya and the officials of the companies that won the competition with the participation of Zafer Demircan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.

 

The 60-Month Process Has Started

The companies that win the competition will be able to sell the electricity they produce in the free market for a period of 60 months from the date of signing the contract. Then, the electricity produced for 20 years will be given to the transmission system with a price of 3.25 euros/cent per kilowatt hour. With the signing of the contracts, the 60-month free market sales process for companies has officially begun.

 

Deputy Minister Demircan: We Will Continue

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister Zafer Demircan said, "The attention and competition you have shown make us hopeful in terms of bringing the continuation and we feel good in terms of showing the confidence of the sector in us. As the ministry, we continue to plan YEKAs as at least 2 thousand megawatts every year. We will continue like this from now on". Demircan reminded that the first floating GES capacity within the scope of YEKA GES-2025 also meets the investor. Expressing that YEKAs have an important business potential for the energy sector.

 

102 Million Euro Contribution Amount

8 connection capacities with a total capacity of 650 MW in Bolu, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Kahramanmaraş, Mardin, Van and Manisa were allocated to investors after the competitions. As a result of the said competitions, a total contribution of approximately 102 million Euros was made.
