Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar met with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Türkiye's Ambassador to Brussels Görkem Barış Tantekin and Belgium's Ambassador to Ankara Hendrik Van de Velde also took part in the meeting.

Collaboration Headlines Were On The Table

Minister Bayraktar, who made a statement on his social media accounts regarding the meeting, stated that they made evaluations about Europe's energy supply security, the new needs arising from global breaks in the energy transformation process and the cooperation that can be developed between Türkiye and Belgium.

Minister Bayraktar then accepted the representatives of Belgium's leading companies in the Ministry and shared the energy vision of Türkiye with them. Minister Bayraktar, who also made evaluations about his contact with company representatives, said, "We have stated that we have shaped our energy basket with a multidimensional understanding that has an existence in every field from renewable sources to natural gas, from nuclear energy to domestic hydrocarbon production. We are based on developing international cooperation in the field of energy on a more advanced basis with an open understanding of partnerships that strengthen supply security, technology-oriented and produce long-term value. We care that the mutual dialogue between the two countries will deepen with more concrete cooperation topics in the coming period," he said.
