IEA Energy Ministerial Meeting

In his speech delivered at the meeting Minister Alaboyun underlined how innovation bears an extreme importance in energy technology, economic growth as well as in fostering energy security. Indicating to the possibility of reducing carbon emission and utilizing much less energy through the advanced technologies, Minister Alaboyun had stated that energy efficiency is the cheapest energy source.

Stating the fact that in the core of all the strategies developed around the climate change lies innovation in the energy technology, Minister Alaboyun underlined the following: “Both private and public sectors must perform a firm commitment towards development and spreading out the innovative energy technologies. Import dependent and rapidly growing countries have to utilize their indigenous fuel resources. Innovative energy technologies might become a solution to this very problem.”
